We certainly can not talk about 2025 without mentioning the All-In-One Kits winning at ICAST.
Kits are certainly not a new thing at Mud Hole, but we are always trying to find more ways to bring rod building to those that might not have had that experience quite yet. Well, ICAST 2025 was a huge step in that direction as not only did the All-In-One kits win the best of category, but it also drew attention from many of the biggest retail stores in the fishing industry. So with all the acclaim for Generation 4 could Generation 5 be better? Well, check out some of the notable changes. Generation 5 Thread Finish marks a major leap forward in performance and reliability, starting with a domestically sourced, drop-in replacement Part A resin that finally allows builders to use heat traditionally to fine-tune viscosity. An upgraded antioxidant extends the guaranteed shelf life, while a redesigned UV package helps maintain long-term clarity and color stability in the unmixed catalyst. The formula also incorporates two improved components in the air-release system, resulting in lower odor without sacrificing and in most cases enhancing its ability to release bubbles effortlessly. Builders will notice only a slight reduction in pot life and a small 5% decrease in viscosity, making Generation 5 a smoother, more predictable finish that elevates both ease of use and finished results.
