Same Great Product, New Brand
As we continue to develop our product lines and grow our brands, you will see some of our more popular products shift from one brand to another. For example, as the industry’s premier rod component brand, American Tackle will continue to engineer cutting edge handles, reel seats, and rod guides – a true leader in top-tier rod building components. However, American Tackle’s extremely popular Bushido line of rod blanks will now join the MHX family, providing the MHX brand with an even more diverse portfolio of high-performance rod blanks.
Similarly, as the CRB brand continues to offer the industry’s widest selection of quality rod building tools and supplies, many CRB rod components, from guides to handles to reel seats, will become part of the American Tackle brand. And popular CRB rod blanks, including the Color Series, will be labeled as “Mud Hole”, the brand for new and experienced custom rod builders.
Overview of the Changes
In general, here are the changes you will be seeing:
- Top selling American Tackle rod blanks will shift to the MHX brand
- CRB Color Series rod blanks and reel seats will shift to the Mud Hole brand, while CRB Ice and Surf Rod blanks will shift to the MHX brand
- Our most popular CRB components (reel seats, guides, handles, etc.) will shift to the American Tackle brand
These brand changes will help to streamline our product offerings, simplify our brand architecture, make the shopping experience even easier for our customers, and provide a foundation for new product development as we grow our business. As these products transition from brand to brand, you can be confident that they are the same quality offerings you have come to trust.
In addition, product SKUs for these products won’t change. So, if you ordered Gunsmoke LZR Light-Duty Spinning Rod Guide Kits in the past, you will still be ordering LZR-SPIN1-GS in the future. However, be aware that during this transition period, you may see product packaging, identifiers, and website information that represent the previous brand as we make these changes and cycle through existing inventory. Again, rest assured, these are the same high-quality products.
