This epoxy is very, very clear. I use a mixer and I have never had any bubbles, period. Not one. Because there are no bubbles, it eliminates the need for heat and the curing time is a longer than most other, making this epoxy very good for new builders. After getting used to it, I have it down to two coats, as longs as my wraps are flat to begin with. Can't go wrong with this stuff.
Just tried this product. There were zero bubbles. Did not need to use heat on this finish. The clarity is beautiful. Thread color really pops. Will buy again.
Ive used Pro Kote, Flex Coat, Threadmaster, D2 and now Generation 4..
The Clarity compared to the others is 25% or more better and longer lasting before yellowing IMO
I love this stuff!!!!
my second choice is VooDoo's D2, Which sometimes still use on Dark offshore rods.
If you make lots of rods or use lots of thread epoxy, you might want to check into larger quantities rather than smaller. Buying the Large 128 compared to even the 32oz,
