I like the idea that the blank is made in America. The blank is a bit heavier than the MHX blanks. The sensitivity is about the same. The cast ability is good. It will more than do the job tackling the northern and Muskie.

I have built several of the Cashion rods for customers using the for small mouth basss and sea trout. They are loving them.

I am a huge fan of Cashion rods. I own ICON series and John Crews series models. I decided to build on a couple Cashion blanks myself using different split grips and a Fuji PULS reel seat. Could not be happier with the outcome of this fantastic blank coupled with some personal component choices to better fit my fishing technique.

Chatterbait magic!

I was looking for a blank to build the perfect chatterbait rod. This blank is IT!
I cut it down to 7' 2", and with the moderate fast action at first it felt really soft. But with the components I used, it is fantastic. Even with straight fluorocarbon, the feel through the blank is outstanding. I tried it with a Jackhammer and a 1/4oz Mini Max, and you can feel the thump of the blade on either of them. It cast both those just fine, and at the upper end, I was able to throw a 1oz swimbait on it and it did not feel overpowered at all. This blank has a lot of potential.
