I’m new to this, but after reading others reviews I decided to buy this one. Easy to mix and easy instructions. Watch some of mud holes videos and you won’t be disappointed.
Have not used it yet.
I tried Thread Master and it is a top quality finish. It produces an extremely clear finish that when totally cured, feels like marble. While many of the top competing products are excellent, this one has that extra percentage of hardness, shine, depth and elegance.
Tips on using: 1) Make sure you warm the bottles before using. Do not use cold. It should be body temperature or slightly above by 5-10 degrees; 2) Room temperature minimum 70 degrees, 74 degrees is better. 3) You need to turn the rods for a minimum of 3 hours. This finish takes a bit longer than competing products; 4) This finish needs more cure time before use. After one day, the finish feels spongy-hard with some tackiness. After 2 days, a bit less spongy. After 3 days, it becomes smooth-hard. My recommendation? Wait 5-7 days before putting the rod to use. You will get an incredibly hard, yet flexible finish. This is an outstanding product! I have been building rods for 42 years. Epoxies such as the old Diamond II were great. They have not changed much over the years. This product has that extra touch of quality and durability that will be admired and enjoyed for many years!
