MHX 7’ blanks

The rods were built for salt water trout fishing in Virginia as Christmas gifts for a grandfather and his grandson. I believe they will be perfect for this. I love the blank and already have 2 more requests. I sent 4 pictures

Awesome Blank

This is HANDS DOWN my favorite blank! I fish inshore w/ swimbaits for redfish and trout. It has a really nice flex to it, to throw lightweight plastics. My go to is a 1/4oz jig head w/ a swimbait. The mod/fast action gives great flexibility, while still having backbone to it. I built around 6 rods trying to find this one! If your throwing 1/2oz or more, the L844 is great too.

Best all around blank I got out of the Mud so far.

This is an awesome rod blank. Purchased a second and made these with the medium duty crb guide kit. Only mistake I made building these rods is that I should have added a 6" to 8'' foregrip. I used a kit with a 2" foregrip. Both are paired with Penn Pursuit IV 4000 15lb braid and they cast really nice with a 1.5 oz plug. I bottom fish, live line and these are perfect for top water as the tip has a nice flex and snap back to it. I fish the Chesapeake Bay and have caught some nice blues and stripers on this rod. I fish off my boat and wish this rod came in 6'6" with the color patterns.

Can Do Anything I Needed

I fish for striped bass mostly, but this rod could do anything I wanted on the spot. I pitched swimbaits inches between pilings, fired metals for bonito and albies, dropped 1-2oz jigs for seabass and porgies, fought weakfish from rocks, and boat flipped a 20+ inch striper 6 feet up from a high dock! Best rod for light northeast fishing I've seen so far!
