The RBS 4-Spool Thread Carriage mounts directly to the RBS aluminum base track for fast access to four separate threads simultaneously.
Featuring an all-new bearing and spring system that eliminates friction for infinite control over your flowing threads, this 4-Spool Carriage achieves pure, unimpeded thread tension resulting in tight, smooth thread wraps with ease.
In addition to securing four small to medium sized thread spools, there are also four large tension knobs to allow user-friendly adjustments, whether changing tension or swapping thread options. The base includes multiple mounted thread guide layouts to optimize thread position during tricky wraps, as well as two convenient neodymium magnets installed to secure razor blades, thread picks, and more.
Plus, this 4-Spool Thread Carriage is designed for use with the RBS Wrapping System as well as other comparable models from Pacific Bay and American Tackle (APW, PBWD, RW-1L, RW-3L).

A must have if you have the crb stand
Cannot adjust tension accurately, Breaks thread regularly, Winds up being in the way more often than not, Just like the rod supports. Is I had to give the entire machine a letter grade, I couldn't give it better than a C- ! Now I have to replace this piece of ****!
This thread carriage is the best thing I've owned. I don't want to call any other brands out, but I've used them all. Hands down my favorite and I was thinking of getting one more for my other track. We fight over it in my shop and it's not even the most expensive one I got. I no longer get frustrated with coming off track and that to me is the most frustrating part. My other ones fall apart including the part that fits in the track. This one has never fell out and i can do what I need to without stopping in the middle of a wrap trying to grab it. Ha-ha.

The price is a bit steep for this model. Much of it is molded plastic which feels kinda cheap. Also it's a shame you can't use a tension rod with it. All that said, it works as advertised.
With the recent addition of the tension rod adapter to the catalog, Mudhole fixed the problems I outlined in a previous review. They also added the front rail slider. The upgraded carriage accommodates virtually every wrapping style. Great for decorative work.
The only flaw left in the CRB - the eye bolts have some rough tool marks on the inside diameter and can wreck thread. The eye bolts will need some file work and metal polish before wrapping anything.
