This is a great upgrade from the old plastic ones. A low cost but necessary tool.
Have not used it yet. Trying to figure out how to use it.
Huge help and timesaver in aligning guides, a little trick I use with it. I set my reel seat and tiptop then tape a piece of fishing line to the top of the alignment tool. Pit the guides in order on the line then attach it snug but not tight to the tiptop. Then use guide adhesive and place the guides temporarily. The guides come out as close to perfect as they can
These are a great tool to have. They make aligning guides a breeze! I would give it five stars but they would be a little bit better if they were a little taller.
I am new to rod building. I got an old beat up and stripped it down to the blank. It’s a spinning rod build. I bought the guide tool to help line up the guides.
My next step is to buy guides for this blank. It’s graphite, 7’, 8-12 line wt. lure wt. 3/8-3/4 oz
I am stumped now! What guide set should I buy for this rebuild? I don’t see how to add a photo to this form.
